Don’t give up until God answers you one way or another….

What can you do in those instances when you know you have prayed for something within God’s will – and yet the answer to your prayer seems to be SILENCE? You petition the Father in faith, yet his response is nothing.

Don’t be so sure that God’s silence is His final answer or that it is a “sign” for you to stop asking. If you have done everything right and have made your petition in faith, consider His silence as an invitation to approach Him and talk over the matter a little more. It may be that God wants to see if you are willing to persist in your request and pursue a definitive answer. “I am the Lord, and I created the whole world. Ask me, and I will tell you things that you don’t know and can’t find out.” (ref,Jeremiah 33), And shall not God execute vengeance for His elect, who cry out to Him day and night, and patiently watch over them? (ref,Luke 18)

Don’t give up until God answers you one way or another. When he does respond it will be one of three answers: Yes, No and Wait.

Of course, the answer all of us usually want from God regarding our requests is a big YES!

Solomon, as a young and inexperienced King of Israel, asked God for something he knew he greatly lacked – wisdom. God responded not only with a loud YES, but gave him far more than he could have dared to ask.

The early church, after Peter was arrested by Herod, offered up fervent prayers for him. What they received from God was nothing short of miraculous. God personally sent one of his angels to free Peter of his chains and escort him out of the prison in which he was held (ref,Acts 12)!

Like it or not, sometimes God’s answer to our request is a flat NO. Many times He does not give us what we want because we ask for something to fulfill our own selfish desires and lusts.
Then you ask, and you do not receive, because you ask with evil motives, that you may consume it on your own lusts. (ref,James 4*3)

Moses, even though he wanted to enter the promised land with the rest of Israelites, was kept from doing so by God because of his sin. He was only allowed to view Canaan from a distance before he died (ref,Numbers 20*12).

Even Jesus, the son of God, was told NO when he asked that “the cup” of becoming sin for us be taken from him (ref,Matthew 26, see also Matthew 20*22-23).

Having to wait and exercise patience is not easy, especially in a society that expects instant gratification. Yet the character to wait patiently and endure is something God wants in us (ref,Romans 5*1-5).
I waited patiently for the Lord’s help; then he listened to me and heard my cry. (ref,Psalm 40*1)

In the final believers can be confident that their prayers to God do reach Him for his loving consideration.
And this is the confidence that we have toward Him: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we may ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of Him (ref,1John 5*14-15)

God is still talking to you even today…..

Jesus used parables extensively in His ministry, to talk to us. Because Holy spirit is and will interpret them to us. At one stage Jesus says “All these things Jesus spoke to the multitudes in parables, and He was not talking to them without a parable.”(ref,Matthews 13*34).

Why does God speak in such vague ways that require interpretation? That’s a question one can ask.

Parables are often pictorial and a picture’s meaning can express ten thousand words. Those who linger in front of a picture in an art gallery are the ones who will start to understand what the artist is trying to communicate.

People who mull over a parable, and try to work out its meaning, are opened up to God speaking to them through it. Parables thus work well with those who are hungry for more of God, but are not immediately responsive.
Parables provide space for the receiver of the parable, who, because they are not directly identified as the person involved, they are then able to identify themselves in it. The ability to respond in their own way is much more open to them, as they are not confronted directly and pressured into making one.
Parables can reach closed people in a way that other things cannot.

God uses parables in His communication to us. When Jesus Christ asked why He kept speaking in parables He replied “To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted. For whoever has, to him more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from Him. Therefore I speak to them in parables; because while seeing they do not see and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.” (ref,Matthew 13*11-13 )
God when He speaks like this wants us to search the Bible and to pray to Him for interpretation and answers. This will mean that we get closer to Him in the process of understanding what he is saying. We will also own the information in a personal way as we have made it ours.

(ref,Jeremiah 33*3) “Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognise, and have knowledge of and understand).”

God has prepared something for you…..

Jesus walked with God and no situation took him by surprise – He knew Judas was going to betray him (ref,Matthews 26*25,)that Lazarus had died (ref,John 11*14,) that Peter would deny him three times Mt 26:34. He knew what people were thinking in their hearts. (ref,Matthews 9*4)
Jesus was able to clearly see situations before they arose. He was able to describe to the disciples that when they entered Jerusalem “A man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him into the house that he enters. ”(ref,Luke 22*10-13).
T

This gift of seeing clearly, is in the reach of those who will do “greater works than Him” (ref,John 14*12 ) especially corporately, together as the body of Christ.
The ability to be able to see/hear clearly for the body of Christ so that, even if the odds are overwhelming, we may walk victoriously forward with sure feet, and not be surprised by anything in our path of life with God.

“Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love Him. For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God” (ref,1 Cor 2*9-10)

(ref,Roman 10*19) “I will make you jealous by that which is not a nation, by a nation without understanding will I anger you.”……He who has an ear to hear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

It God’s will to commune with you…..

There was a time in the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve walked and talked with God in natural communion with Him. This fellowship was Spirit to spirit and as such they worshipped Him. The Bible says “God is Spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”(ref,John 4*24). After they had sinned “They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.”(ref,Genesis 3*8) They no longer wanted to meet or talk with Him and hid in the place that they had sinned – the trees.
When the Israelites camped before Mt Sinai “All the people perceived the thunder and the lightning flashes and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood at a distance. Then they said to Moses, “Speak to us yourself and we will listen; but let not God speak to us, or we will die.” Exodus 20:20

Despite this refusal, Moses insisted that it was imperative that the people listened to God for themselves.

“I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, by loving the Lord your God by obeying His voice and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days.”(ref, Deuteronomy 30*19-20)

When we choose to listen to the Lord God not hide from him like Adam and Eve did in the Garden and the people had done on Sinai, then we will receive life giving sustenance and. In fact it is when we pay attention to God’s voice that we will receive divine health.

“My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them and health to all their body. Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth and put devious speech far from you……….My son, give attention to my wisdom, incline your ear to my understanding; that you may observe discretion and your lips may reserve knowledge.”(ref,Proverbs 4*20- 5*2))

To incline your ear means to turn your head towards God to hear his still small voice (ref,1 Kings 19*12) the whisper of God. Also speaking the truth only, means that you will be discrete and keep the knowledge you have, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path”(ref,Psalm 119*105)This scripture is often used to emphasise the need for study of the scripture; however the Hebrew for ‘word’ mean speech; it comes from dabar which means to speak.

Moses demonstrated the ability to hear God’s voice clearly in his life “Hear now My words: if there is a prophet among you, I the LORD, shall make Myself known to him in a vision. I shall speak with him in a dream. Not so, with My servant Moses, He is faithful in all My household; with him I speak mouth to mouth, even openly, and not in dark sayings.” (ref,Numbers 12*7-8)

God’s desire under the New Covenant is to speak with us mouth to mouth just as He did with Moses and Jesus. “The Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner.”(ref,John 5*19)

“I do nothing of my own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught me. And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.(ref,John 8*28-29)

The trouble we often have is the ability to distinguish God’s voice from our own thoughts as He speaks Spirit to spirit or mouth to mouth with us. The following verses from Romans can help.

“It is the Spirit which testifies with our spirit that we are children of God(ref,Rom 8*16)

The same word is used in(ref,Rom 9*1)“I am telling the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience testifies with me in the Holy Spirit that I have great sorrow and unceasing grief in my heart.”

It is in the same place and way that Paul’s conscience and the Holy Spirit testified within. What this means in practice, is that as we show obedience and follow Gods ways, our conscience is sharpened and we hear God clearer. In the same way disobedience blunts and dulls the voice of God.

(ref,1 Corinthians 2:*12-14) “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.”

In the Greek the words ‘thoughts’ and ‘words’ are not present it is just “Combining spiritual with spiritual.” In other words God’s Spirit combining with our spirit is what enables us to know the things freely given to us by God.

Be happy For Who you….

By now you may be feeling pretty depressed. But there’s no need to. If you get your self worth from the right place, it only grows stronger every day. It never wears out, dies, or is lost. True motivation comes only from your relationship with Jesus Christ. (ref,John 3*16)”God loves you not for what you can do, how you look, or how much money you have. He loves you simply because you’re you.

His love for you is not based on your performance or any external thing. He created you out of pure love. Your relationship with God is what makes you complete–not a spouse. And though you maybe feeling empty or incomplete now, that’s only a feelings.

God’s love for you doesn’t change. It will never change, through all eternity. God’s love for you is indestructible. Doesn’t it seem wise to base your self esteem on something indestructible? God’s love.

Give some new thought to your priorities. Think about all the things you cherish. No doubt many of them are good and worthwhile. But set a goal to re-order your life.

Make your relationship with Jesus Christ your top priority, and the source of your confidence. It will keep you strong no matter what happens to you in life.

Never doubt that God is with You……….

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”(ref,John 14*26-28)

God is in control. No matter what happens, He will never let any test that will defeat you, never doubt that. For followers of Jesus, everything will turn out for good. No person and no bad event can separate us from him.

When Jesus tells us not to be afraid, that’s not a suggestion that’s a command! He’s reassuring us because he does know the future for us, Remember something important. In the Garden of Gethsemane, before His crucifixion, Jesus was afraid. He has experienced fear too. Nobody understands like Jesus when it comes to your fears.

But because Jesus knows the future and because he cannot lie, we can have the peace he talks about. And wait on Him for victory of eternal life, never doubt that God is with you in every single situation and test of life.,(ref, John 3*16)

God Love you and want to reveal Himself to you…

God is a mystery, but He wants us to know Him. He reveals Himself in so many ways, if we’re open to Him and trusting Him with our soul and heart. We were going to know His mind of us, meaning His plan and will of us.

Spiritual growth is a puzzle that takes a lifetime to build, but if you’re serious about it, you’ll find pieces that begin to fall into place, one after another.

Someone once said that God is willing to reveal as much of himself to us as we want to know. At times it can be a struggle to us, even frustrating, yet it’s also the most exciting quest known to man.

Nothing beats knowing God. Wealth, fame, awards, and worldly accomplishments are like child’s play compared to a true hunger for God. He is so big, so complex, so beautiful that knowing him well will take not only this lifetime, but the rest of eternity.

As you pursue Him, He pursues you too,If you haven’t yet thrown your whole heart and self into this great adventure, I urge you to do so.

It is, without a doubt, the most fun experience you will ever have in this life, as He planned of you, it is not to hurt you but lead you to abundance He created for, fear not He is with you.

Don’t be Shaken God is with you…

When we realize that we are truly incapable of controlling life, we can surrender our will to God’s will. It may be a matter of finally saying we trust Him. This will open the door so that we may experience the fullness of all God’s will and His plan He has for us. After all, He is our Creator and our protector, our Father and He has a perfect plan of us when we surrender our will and let Him orchestrate our lives to reach His plan and will through us.

Be not moved and know that I am God, How can we know it’s God?
“…and know that I am God” denotes recognition, acknowledgement, and answering God. First, we must know that God is God, the one and only Supreme Being who created all the heavens and earth (ref,Genesis 1*1).

We can know Him by having an intimate relationship with Him. That does not come from knowing about Him, but rather getting to personally know Him by what He says He is  (in His Holy Word, the Bible), recognizing the things He does in our lives, and by way of His Holy Spirit who comes to guide and comfort us. In John 14*26, Jesus says “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you”.

When we read the Bible, we will learn to recognize the way God talks to us, the kinds of things He says, and the merciful love He offers.

Our God is……
> Omniscient all knowing

> Omnipresent – universal presence at the same time

> Omnipotent – all powerful

> Holy- Faithful, and Sovereign

> Infinitewithout measure, forever

Be still and know that I am God.images-36

God pronounce us not guilty, When we Repent………

Can a person be saved without holding to the core beliefs of Christianity? No. But along with accepting as true those core beliefs must be a spiritual transformation. Jesus said that in order to inherit eternal life one must be “born again” (John 3*3).” Jesus answered them and said, surely, surely, I say to you, except a man be born again, he can’t see the kingdom of God”.

To be born again is a work of the Holy Spirit in the heart of a repentant sinner. Just as a mother in labor does all the work in bringing forth a new life, so the Holy Spirit does the work in transforming a sinner into a new creature (2 Corinthians 5*17).”Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new”.

This process begins when God draws a heart through conviction of sin and hope of forgiveness (John 6*44).”No man can come to me, except the Father which have sent me draw him to me, and I will raise him up at the last day”.When we surrender to God and repent of our sin (Acts 2*38),”Then Peter said to them, repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit”.

God applies the blood of His own Son to our account and cancels the debt we owe Him (Colossians 2*14). “By this act of transference, God pronounces us “not guilty”; that is, He justifies us (Romans 4*5). Salvation is a divine exchange: Jesus becomes our sin so that we can become His perfection (2 Corinthians 5*21). This is the gospel at the very core of Christianity
