The journey of any decision making may be a difficult and long one. By trusting in God’s plans for our lives, we experience peace in the storms of life. Any decision that draws us closer in our relationship with God assures us a success (ref,Jeremiah 29*11-13). When we surrender our will (pride and selfish motives) to God’s will, He gives us the desires of our heart (ref,Psalm 27*3-5).
When we exclude God from our decision making, we intentionally ignore God’s instructions. “I will bless those who have humble and contrite hearts, who tremble at my word. But those who choose their own ways, delighting in their sins, are cursed . . . I will send great troubles against them—all the things they feared . . . When I spoke, they did not listen. They deliberately sinned—before my very eyes—and chose to do what they know I despise”(ref,Isaiah 66*2-4). Our pride and selfishness suggests, “I’ll take this course of action. If God doesn’t stop me, it must be okay.” Instead, God’s direction and wisdom must be sought before we make any decision.
• Your Mind – Results in impetuous choices (ref,1 Corinthians 3*18-19).
• Peer Pressure – Produces confusion and failure (ref,Jeremiah 7*24).
• God’s Mind – Gives supernatural wisdom to you. (ref,Proverbs 2*3-8).
A Humbling Experience
One of the most difficult factors in decision making is humbling oneself, admitting that you don’t know it all or that you’ve failed.
We all make costly mistakes, decisions that we wish we never made. Moses ignored God’s instructions (ref,Numbers 20*8-12), Samson surrendered his strength (ref,Judges 16*17-21), and Peter repeatedly denied knowing Jesus Christ (ref,John 18*25-27). Each of these mighty men humbled themselves by asking for God’s forgiveness. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (ref1 John 1*9).
God is a mystery, but He wants us to know Him. He reveals Himself in so many ways, if we’re open to Him and trusting Him with our soul and heart. We were going to know His mind of us, meaning His plan and will of us.
Spiritual growth is a puzzle that takes a lifetime to build, but if you’re serious about it, you’ll find pieces that begin to fall into place, one after another.
Someone once said that God is willing to reveal as much of himself to us as we want to know. At times it can be a struggle to us, even frustrating, yet it’s also the most exciting quest known to man.
Nothing beats knowing God. Wealth, fame, awards, and worldly accomplishments are like child’s play compared to a true hunger for God. He is so big, so complex, so beautiful that knowing him well will take not only this lifetime, but the rest of eternity.
As you pursue Him, He pursues you too,If you haven’t yet thrown your whole heart and self into this great adventure, I urge you to do so.
It is, without a doubt, the most fun experience you will ever have in this life, as He planned of you, it is not to hurt you but lead you to abundance He created for, fear not He is with you.
What others think and say should not matter in your life. You need God’s approval in life.
When you believe in Jesus Christ as your savior, you gain his approval and acceptance. You become one of God’s adopted children. God gave his people the Ten Commandments, and our obedience of those laws is pleasing to him. We all fail from time to time. Your sins are unacceptable to God, but you are accepted.
See the difference? Our acceptance by God is through the sacrifice and grace of Jesus Christ, not through our performance. We cannot become acceptable or gain salvation by works. As a believer, you have God’s approval. While the approval of other people might be reassuring or desirable, it is not necessary for your completeness.
You will gain a sense of strength and fulfillment when you obey God. God loves your obedience. And the more you love God, the more you will want to obey him. Obeying God can often lead to the approval of people, but we don’t obey God because we’re worried about what others think. We obey God out of love and gratitude for him and for Jesus’ sacrifice for us.
When we choose to imitate Jesus, we spend less and less time trying to influence what others think and say about us. and we will get and gain more time rejoicing over God’s approval and acceptance by God.
As you follow Christ and walk in his ways, your confidence grows. The Holy Spirit convicts you of God’s love for you. You come to see that staying faithful to God is what matters. The approval of others may come and go, but God’s love is solid, unconditional, and everlasting.
Life can be so confusing. there are so many choices for us as we decide the values that will govern our lives. so how are we going to find out the best way, God’s way to live? we will ask God to show us! our hope is in Him. our salvation is in Him. so why not ask Him to guide us to His will and truth? If our hearts are open to His truth and we are seeking His way, He will make His will known to us, for we are the temple of Lord.
What agreement has the temple of God has with idols? For we are the temple of the Living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you, and I will be a Father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.”
Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of the body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.
”Unless a person abides in me, he is thrown away like a pruned branch and dries up. people gather such branches, throw them into a fire, and they are burned up. if you abide in you, you can ask for anything you want, and you’ll receive it.
This is how my Father is glorified, when you produce a lot of fruit and so prove to be my disciples, Just as the Father has loved me so I have loved you. so abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you’ll abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
Christ has told us that, so that His Joy may be in us, and that our joy may be completed.
“Little children, don’t let anyone deceive you. The person who practices righteousness is righteous, just as the Messiah is righteous.” (ref, 1John 3*7 and 2*29). ” since you know that He is righteous, you also know that everyone who practices righteous has been fathered by God.” Here John is expressing and underlining that everyone who’s righteous is found on, he or she is already righteous, because we know that everyone who practices righteous, just as Messiah Jesus Christ is righteous.” and everyone who has this hope based on Him keeps himself pure, just as the messiah is pure. And everyone who keeps living in sin also practices disobedience.
In fact. sin is disobedience…..Every kind of wrongdoing is sin, yet there are sins that do not lead death. We know that the person who has been born from God does not go on sinning. rather, the Son of God protects them, and the evil one cannot harm them” (ref, 1John 3*3-4 and 5*17-18). someone will want to know, how can one be righteous, or declared righteous. On previous scriptures and verses, we learned that John is telling us that allowing others to deceive us, can make us to forget the purpose of God of us, which was to praise God with lives God provided us with, not to be disobedient to His commandment, to lead us to eternal life, life full of abundance,
Now John put a foundation, and two behaviour, before us, to choose from, first is (ref, 1Joh 2*29), ” You know also know that everyone who practices righteous has been Fathered by God.” and (ref, 1Jhn 3*8),” The person who practices sin belong to the evil one, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning, The reason that the Son of God was revealed was to destroy what the devil has been doing.”
And we need to allow the Son of God (Messiah Jesus Christ) to do, what He was revealed for, which is to destroy the strong hold in our lives to sin,(ref, Eph 2*10), ” For we are God’s masterpiece, created in the Messiah Jesus to perform good actions that God prepared long ago to be our way of life.” He has sent His word to the descendants of Israe and brought them the good news of peace through Jesus the Messiah. This man is the Lord of everyone.
Don’t you think is time to commit yourself to Christ, He has somethings to destroy in your life, Allow Him by inviting Him in your life, by having faith and believing in Him , for salvation brought to you by God Love to you…………………MAKE DECISION MY FELLOW BROTHER AND SISTER….
One benefit of living by the promises of God is related to something that GOD CANNOT DO, He is unable to lie. ”It is impossible for GOD to lie. This inability actually magnifies His greatness, This inability of God is linked here to His promises. We who live by faith are heirs of promise.” We inherit the blessings of God by trusting him to fulfil all that He has promised to do. these promises offer everlasting life and are anchored in eternity past; in hope of eternal life which God promised before time began. Now here in time and space, God want to deeply impress us with the unchangeable character of His will; He wants us to be fully assured that He will not declare one thing, and then later change His mind and do the opposite, no He is trustworthy to His words, because He said , He cannot not send His words, and those words return to Him void, He does not change His mind no. When He has said it He will do it, while that bring to us a great assurance, and provide us with solid assurance. ”Thus,God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable things, in which it is consolation, in hope of eternal life which God, whom cannot lie, promised before time began. (ref, Heb 6*17-18 and Tit 1*2).
God coupled His promises with and oath. People make oaths, attempting to convince others of their reliability. They swear by something greater than themselves.” For men indeed swear by one greater” (ref, Heb 6*16), However, ” when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, saying, Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you,” (ref, Heb 6*13-14). this mark an amazing condescension on the part of our Lord toward us. We might say that He somewhat lowers Himself down to the level( which He would fully do in the incarnation, becoming a man). He uses a common human custom in order to grand us an assured understanding of the reliability of His commitment to us.
The assurance that we received in this unusual communication is liked unto a certainty.” God who cannot lie, or make a promise and an oath, that by two immutable things. WE MIGHT HAVE STRONG CONSOLATION.
